TURN YOUR CREATIVE PASSION INTO A BUSINESS

The Artrepreneur program provides the tools for creative entrepreneurs to grow themselves and their organizations through education, resources and networks.

We strive to establish Artrepreneur as Ontario's leading business development accelerator for creative entrepreneurs.

Education

The Artrepreneur accelerator program provides business training on topics such as marketing, finance, goal-setting and partnerships for creative entrepreneurs. The Artrepreneur curriculum helps entrepreneurs launch their creative business or organization.

RESOURCES

Embedded in the Artrepreneur curriculum are various tools that fellows can take-away from the classroom, and utilize in their day-to-day operations. Each cohort is created with strategic community partners who fellows have access to, adding value to their experience.

NETWORKS

By incubating artists of all disciplines in one program, we foster collaboration and sharing, resulting in a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to “make it” as a creative entrepreneur. The biggest value we provide our fellows is each other, but it doesn’t hurt that our facilitators are experts in the industry as well.

Testimonials

  • “The Artrepreneur program gave me the inspiration, skills, and connections to take my musical training and turn it into something bigger. Soon after completing the program, I founded York Region Chamber Music and have since have been able to feature over 30 local young professional musicians and connect with our community.”

    – Jessica Tse, YR Cohort 1

  • “This program helped me work through my business plan. I will be using that business plan to go in front of the Starter Company grant committee this week. I hope to use that money to open a studio which will most certainly take my business to the next level.”

    – Barrie Cohort 3

  • Prior to the Artrepreneur program my visual arts business operated by whim (and luck). Posting my work on Facebook and attending the odd event seemed to have plateaued in sales. I now have a better idea of how to grow my business, be intentional in my actions and how to set a timeline to keep myself accountable for my goals.
